Ujjain is all set to host Kumbh festival
again. Ujjain becomes the favorite destination of devotees and saints at the
time of Kumbh. Thousands of devotees come here to take bath in the auspicious
Kshipra River. It is believed that it is one of the river in which drop of
mortality were fallen at the time of war between god and devil during the
churning of sea. Thus devotees and saints come here in Kumbh Mela to take bath
in this immortal river.
At the time of kumbh mela many
business get benefits. The most benefited sector is hotel industry. At the time
of kumbh it is very difficult to get even a single hotel in Ujjain. One can
only plan a trip to simhastha if they have prior booking. Though there are
large numbers of hotels but hotels are full at the time of kumbh mela. Ujjain hotel accommodates thousands of
devotees at this time. Because of the religious value of Ujjain and other
monuments, large tourist comes to Ujjain. Travel & tourism is also an
efficient business in city like Ujjain. Ujjain tourism also gets equal benefit
at the time of Kumbh. It has been serving all the visitors since many years and
it is now all set for the next kumbh mela dates which are to be held next year.

destinations are:
1. Mahakaleshwar: The Mahakal Temple Ujjain is
one of the twelve Jyotirlinga. It is said to be Swayambhu. That is it is
believed that Lord Shiva has himself settled here. The main thing about this
temple is that this is the only south facing Jyotirlinga among all the twelve.
It has great religious values and thousand of devotees visit it every year.
2. Jantar Mantar: Jantar Mantar
or the observatory is still in working condition. It is rare place in India. ;
It contains many large instruments that were constructed many years ago. With
them astronomers still calculates Indian years, climatic conditions, motion of
planets and moon, earth rotation etc. It attracts large number of astronomy
students and scientists. One can easily find how people detected time and day
in ancient period. It is a rare and good place to visit.
3. Kaliadeh Palace: It is a
palace that displays the ancient architecture and known as KD Palace. Situated
on the bank of Kshipra River it also attracts many visitors. It also has
beautiful sun temple.
4. There are many more temples
which have religious beliefs attached to it. This includes Chitaman Ganesh,
Harsiddhi temple, Bada Ganesh temple, Mangalnath temple, Gopal temple and many
more.
5. Ujjain also has various
Gurudwara and mosque that has big religious beliefs attached to it.
Other than in Ujjain one can also visit
nearby places. One can visit Ujjain to Omkareshwar. Also Indore to Ujjain
distance is manageable for visitors. Many visitors also come from Indore to
Ujjain.
